Former Deputy & Acting Secretary General and Founding Member, NGC Party, Sierra Leone
It is with deep sadness that I received the news of the passing of Hon. Alhaji Minkailu Mansaray, National Chairman of the All People’s Congress — one of Africa’s oldest and most respected political parties. Chairman Mansaray was more than a party leader. He was a dedicated public servant who gave many years of his life to democratic politics in Sierra Leone. His contributions to our nation’s political development will not be forgotten, and his legacy will endure long after his passing.
At this moment of grief, we are reminded that the spirit of serving our nation goes beyond political party lines. Chairman Mansaray understood this, and he served with commitment and distinction. In that same spirit, I, Dr. Alhaji K. Tarawally, on behalf of my family, my supporters, and my political movement — the Progressive Alliance for Change (PAC) — extend our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family and to the leadership and members of the APC.
We pray that Almighty Allah forgives our dear “Uncle Minks,” grants him Al-Jannah Firdaus, and gives his family and loved ones the strength and patience to bear this loss.
Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un.
